Who Is the Spy (Party Game)
Rules, steps and tips — learn it in one read and start playing
About the Game
Who Is the Spy is a party game: everyone but the spy receives the same word while the spy gets a similar one. Take turns describing your word and voting — catch all spies and civilians win.
How to Play
- Log in and create a room (set player cap, spy count, optional Blank) or join a friend room with its 6-digit code
- Each player secretly receives a word; starting with the host, describe it in one sentence per turn
- After each round everyone votes; the most-voted player is out and reveals their role
- All spies out — civilians win; spies equal or outnumbering living civilians — spies win
Rules at a Glance
- Rooms support 4-12 human players with 1-3 spies
- Add the "Blank" role: it sees no word and earns 120 points by surviving to the end
- Each round costs a 20-point entry fee; word pairs come from built-in banks or your custom bank
- Civilian win: each surviving civilian +20; spy win: each surviving spy +60
Pro Tips
- Don't describe too precisely or you expose the civilian word
- Don't be too vague either, or you'll look like a spy or the Blank
- Weigh how players' statements changed across rounds before voting
